The Loupy D Photography Archive
The Loupy D Photography Archive preserves rare images, personal memories, and cultural moments from the life of a writer and photographer who moved through Los Angeles hip-hop, Black arts, journalism, fatherhood, faith, and survival with a camera in one hand and a story in the other.
This archive begins with 2Pacalypse 92: 17 Shots, a rare collection of photographs of Tupac Shakur performing at Prince’s Glam Slam in 1992. More photography projects will be added as the archive expands.

In 1992, Loupy D photographed Tupac Shakur during the early rise of his career, before
the iconography became permanent and before the world fully understood the size of
his fire
These photographs reveal a young Tupac in motion — not yet surrounded by the armor
of celebrity, but already carrying the energy, conviction, and charisma that would make
him unforgettable.
